Chester Vintage Enthusiasts Club

Chester Vintage Enthusiasts Club

Est. 1959

Based in Cheshire

Founded in 1959 by a group of motoring enthusiasts, the Chester Vintage Enthusiasts’ Club (CVECC) celebrates a passion for vintage and classic cars. In the early days, many members drove vintage and veteran cars as daily transport, taking advantage of their affordability at the time.

Today, the club welcomes anyone with an interest in historic vehicles, from veteran to classic models—owning a car is not a requirement to join! A key feature of CVECC is its friendly, social atmosphere, with many members enjoying continuous membership for over 10 or even 20 years.

The club organizes a variety of events, including driving tests, navigation runs, social gatherings, and an annual Autumn Trial (Hill Climb), where spectators are always welcome. Members also participate in local car shows and motoring events, such as the Oulton Park Gold Cup and the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power.

Additionally, the club arranges stands at regional car shows and offers a monthly newsletter filled with articles and features, contributed by members. CVECC is run by a small committee, led by a Chairman, and meets bi-monthly.

As one of the oldest car clubs in Chester, CVECC is proud to be affiliated with the Federation of Historic Vehicle Clubs and the MSA.
